WHAT ARE BY-LAWS?
The rules and regulations enacted by an association or a corporation to provide a framework for its operation and management. Bylaws specify the qualifications, rights, and liabilities of membership, and the powers, duties, and grounds for the dissolution of an organization. These are registered with the state and require an amendment to change.

An Amendment is a legal document which changes a rule or regulation in the By-Laws. It requires an 80% vote of the membership and is mandatory that it be registered with the state,

Policies, Rules and Covanents are legal documents which are enhancements of the By-Laws. They come in 2 forms, simplified explanation of By-Laws or rules enacted by Board vote.
